JBT Receives $7.3 Million Airport Order
October 20, 2009 (FinancialWire) — JBT Corp. (NYSE: JBT) said its JBT AeroTech business was awarded a $7.3 million contract to supply 14 new passenger boarding bridges and preconditioned air units for use at San Francisco International Airport.
The contract was awarded by Turner Construction Co., the general contractor for SFO’s Terminal 2 renovation and expansion project.
JBT said the terminal formerly housed international flights and was closed in December 2000 when SFO’s current international terminal opened.
JBT AeroTech said it anticipates completing its portion of the project in the first half of 2010 prior to the terminal’s completion in the first quarter of 2011.
Chicago-based JBT designs, manufactures, tests and services systems and products for regional and multi-national industrial food processing customers through its JBT FoodTech segment and for domestic and international air transportation customers through its JBT AeroTech segment.
