Heartland Unit Wins $1.5 Million National Guard Contract
October 16, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Heartland, Inc.’s (OTCBB: HTLJ) (Current Market Cap: $16.94 Mil.) Mound Technologies unit has received a letter of intent to furnish and install the fabricated steel for a new regional training institute for the Army National Guard. The total value of the contract is around $1.5 million.
The company said that engineering detail drawings are to begin immediately with delivery projected for early spring 2010. This project extends the company’s backlog of work for Mound well into 2010, according to Heartland.
Middleboro, Kentucky-based Heartland has businesses in steel warehousing and fabrication and petroleum retail and wholesale operations. Mound Technologies is a structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator located in Springboro, Ohio.
