Science Applications Receives $32 Million Military Task Order

October 15, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) said it has been awarded a task order by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic to provide counter improvised explosive device training services. The task order has a three year period of performance and a total value of more than $32 million.

SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic provides full-service systems engineering and acquisition to rapidly deploy capabilities to warfighters. Under the task order, SAIC will support the center’s C2 division by providing C-IED tactical training support.

SAIC will also help instruct deploying U.S. Marines, and provide logistical and documentation support to the division’s evaluation and assessment team, and the U.S. Marine Corps’ Training and Education Command, and Engineer Training and Education Center of Excellence.
