Arcadis Wins Prime Contractor Slot On $3 Billion Air Force Contract
October 13, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Dutch engineering firm Arcadis (OTC: ARCVF) said it has been selected by the U.S. Air Force as one of the prime contractors for the $3 billion environmental restoration and construction program.
Under the program Arcadis is allowed to compete for task orders with a select number of competitors. The program is a five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract focused on environmental remediation and site cleanup at Department of Defense sites, mostly Air Force bases, around the world.
As a contractor, Arcadis will perform a range of environmental services, including concept development, remediation plans, site cleanup, repair and construction, with the objective of meeting technical and regulatory requirements.
The performance period for the remediation projects is five years for basic services ordering, with three additional years to complete performance. Work is scheduled to begin in late 2009.
Amsterdam-based Arcadis provides consultancy, design, engineering and management services in infrastructure, environment and buildings.
