Emak Worldwide Loses Burger King Account

October 9, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Marketing services firm Emak Worldwide, Inc. (OTC: EMAK) (Current Market Cap: $6.27 Mil.) said it will no longer be an approved premiums manufacturing agency of record for Burger King Corp. (NYSE: BKC).

The company said that the client loss will not impact its financial results for the current fiscal year.

According to Emak’s financial statements, Burger King-related revenues represent a significant portion of the company’s total revenues.

company CEO Jim Holbrook said, “Our expectations for positive EBITDA before charges and positive cash flow for 2009 remain unchanged.” He added that the firm has “ample cash and equivalents on hand of approximately $13.5 million as of September 30, 2009, and a $7.5 million untapped bank line.”

Holbrook said that Emak was in the process of evaluating “the full impact” of the loss of Burger King, and would release financial results for the third quarter ended September 30 in late October, in line with the company’s normal reporting schedule.
