Point Blank Solutions Wins $2.4 Million Army Contract
October 6, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Point Blank Solutions, Inc. (OTC: PBSO) (Current Market Cap: $38.81 Mil.) said its body armor unit has received a $2.4 million award to supply concealable vests and plate carriers to support the U.S. Army’s military police.
The company said it will begin production in October 2009 and expects to complete the order by January 2010.
company CEO Jim Henderson said that the Army ordered Point Blank’s Vision series concealable vests, which are designed to “protect against numerous threat levels.”
Henderson said that the award, while small, is “significant win for Point Blank in that the Vision concealable vest will be worn by both commercial and federal law enforcement personnel and can be used to support the requirements of several other agencies.”
Pompano Beach, Florida-based Point Blank Solutions is engaged in the design and production of body armor systems for the U.S. military, government, and law enforcement agencies, as well as various international markets.
