Science Applications Wins $18 Million Navy Contract
September 16, 2009, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) has been awarded a prime contract by the Space and U.S. Navy to develop and deliver transmit terminal equipment. The contract has a two-year base period of performance, with additional options through 2014, and a total value of more than $18 million if all options are exercised.
Work under the award will be performed primarily in San Diego, California.
The Program will help the U.S. Navy modernize current fleet submarine broadcast system components, many of which are approaching end of service life, or are scheduled for upgrade.
