(NASDAQ: CTDC) has appointed Frederick Tang, who has been working with the company as vice president, as the company’s new chief financial officer to replace Gary Leung who resigned for his personal reason, effective from September 1, 2009, in accordance with the recommendation from the company’s Nominating Committee.

Prior to joining CTDC, Tang acted as Finance director and company secretary in several reputable international corporations in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Southeast Asian countries, including ecSolutions Corp. (Shanghai) Ltd and Beauty Spark Engineering Ltd.. In addition, he had worked at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu  for over 8 years, with extensive experience in auditing, taxation and training. Tang is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and an associate of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA). He received a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Finance from Brighton University, and a Masters degree in Financial Management from University of London.

Tang, who brings to CTDC more than eighteen years of experience in corporate finance, merger and acquisition, fund raising and investor relations, will report directly to Alan Li, chairman and CEO of the company, and will be responsible for the overall financial management.
