Gillette Named CEO Of First Solar
September 4, 2009 (FinancialWire) — First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ: FSLR) has appointed Robert J. Gillette as its chief executive officer, succeeding Mike Ahearn.
Gillette spent the last four and a half years as the CEO and president of Honeywell’s (NYSE HON) aerospace business group. Gillette joined Honeywell in 1996 and has served in a number of management positions, including president and CEO of Honeywell’s transportation systems unit and president of Honeywell’s turbo technologies business.
Prior to joining Honeywell, Gillette spent over 10 years at General Electric.
Tempe, Arizona-based First Solar manufactures solar modules with a semiconductor technology, and provides PV system solutions.
