In October 2008, Flur was promoted to EVP of strategy and marketing. Prior to joining Family Dollar, she served as a principal with the global management consulting firm, McKinsey & Co.

Matthews, North Carolina-based Family Dollar stores currently operates more than 6,700 stores in 44 states.
