Ares Capital Prices 11 Million Common Shares
August 17, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Ares Capital Corp. (NASDAQ: ARCC) has agreed to sell 11 million shares of common stock at a public offering price of $9.25 per share, for around $101.75 million in gross proceeds.
J.P. Morgan Securities (NYSE: JPM), Citi (NYSE: C), UBS Investment Bank (NYSE: UBS) and Wells Fargo Securities are acting as joint bookrunners for the offering.
Ares Capital has granted the underwriters an option to purchase up to an additional 1.65 million shares to cover over-allotments.
The company plans to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, including to repay outstanding indebtedness and to fund investments.
