A Wisconsin businessman has been fined for environmental violations after burning several buildings. Mesothelioma Cancer News (Madison, Wisconsin) – A man in Wisconsin, along with his company have recently been fined for environmental violations following the burning of several mobile homes in Crawford County last year. As reported by the La Crosse Tribune, Randall Cornford and River Junction Mobile Home Services LLC were fined a combined $65,000 due to not pre-inspecting the homes and debris for asbestos, which was found in the burned remains, and also filling in a wetland area on property in Grant County without having permits to do so. Cornford and the company also reportedly admitted to failing to inform the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) about the demolition project, and other unauthorized activities, which resulted in the massive fines.
