Antenna Products Wins $3 Million FAA Contract
July 10, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Phazar Corp. (NASDAQ: ANTP) (Current Market Cap: $6.67 Mil.) said that its Antenna Products Corp. subsidiary has been awarded contract with a potential value of $3 million to supply antennas to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The award, an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract, is for the production of Mark 20 log periodic dipole antennas for replacement of existing Mark 20A LPD antennas. The antennas are used in the localizer portion of an instrument landing system. The localizer provides aircraft a reference to the centerline of a runway during an approach for landing.
Antenna Products said that the contract is for a base year with four option years with a potential value of $3 million. The equipment will be manufactured at Antenna Products Corp.’s plant in Mineral Wells, Texas.
Mineral Wells, Texas-based Antenna Products designs, manufactures and markets standard and custom antennas, wireless mesh network solutions, guyed and self supported towers, support structures, masts and communication accessories worldwide.
The company’s customers include the United States government, both military and civil agencies, United States government prime contractors and commercial clients.
