Calgon Carbon Wins $10 Million Powerplant Contract
July 2, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Calgon Carbon Corp. (NYSE: CCC) said it has been awarded a contract by a U.S. power generator to supply its Fluepac activated carbon to remove mercury from the flue gas of a coal-fired power plant in the Midwest. The value of the contract is around $10 million.
Under terms of the contract, Calgon Carbon will be the sole supplier of activated carbon to the plant from 2009 through 2011, with deliveries beginning “immediately,” according to the company.
The contract can be extended for two additional one-year periods.
Pittsburgh-based Calgon Carbon offers services and solutions for water and air purification.
