Honeywell Wins Corps Of Engineers Contract
June 26, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Honeywell (NYSE: HON) said it has received a multiple award task order service contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to upgrade federal buildings with energy-efficient technology. The company said it will take part in projects that could involve as much as $650 million in projects over the next three years.
As part of the contract, Honeywell will be able to install utility monitoring and building control technology at any federal facility, nationally or abroad.
Honeywell was one of eight companies to receive a contract for the new program, which could collectively involve as much as $650 million in projects over the next three years.
The company said it provides nearly $50 million of infrastructure improvements for government organizations annually, and has completed projects for the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Energy and all four branches of the military, among other agencies.
Honeywell also recently received similar contracts from the DOE and Army Corps of Engineers.
Morris Township, New Jersey-based Honeywell International offers aerospace products and services control technologies for buildings, homes and industry, automotive products, turbochargers and specialty materials.
