June 17, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Ltd. Brands, Inc. (NYSE: LTD) said it has agreed to sell $500 million of 8.50% senior notes due 2019 through an institutional private placement.

The closing is scheduled to occur on or about June 19. The notes will be guaranteed by certain of the company’s subsidiaries.

Ltd. plans to use the proceeds of this offering, after the payment of fees and expenses, to repurchase or repay existing debt and for general corporate purposes.

Columbus, Ohio-based Ltd. Brands sells lingerie, personal care and beauty products, apparel and accessories through its Victoria’s Secret, Pink, Bath & Body Works, C.O. Bigelow, La Senza, White Barn Candle Co. and Henri Bendel brands.
