Pratt & Whitney Wins $75 Million Repair Contract With Japan Airlines
June 15, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Japan Airlines has signed a three-year parts repair agreement worth more than $75 million with United Technologies Corp.’s (NYSE: UTX) Pratt & Whitney unit, according to both firms.
Under the agreement, Pratt & Whitney will provide Japan Airlines part repair services for its JT9D and PW4000 engines.
JAL Group airlines serve 220 airports in 35 countries and territories, including 59 airports in Japan. The international network covers over 258 passenger routes and 28 cargo routes, and the domestic network covers 143 routes.
Connecticut-based Pratt & Whitney is engaged in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines, space propulsion systems and industrial gas turbines.
