Huntington Bancshares Prices 90 Million Common Shares
June 4, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Huntington Bancshares Inc. (NASDAQ: HBAN) has priced an offering of 90 million shares of its common stock at $3.60 per share, for $324.0 million in gross proceeds. Goldman Sachs & Co. (NYSE: GS) led the transaction.
The underwriters will have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 13.5 million shares of common stock from Huntington.
Columbus, Ohio-based Huntington Bancshares is a regional bank holding company withover 600 banking offices in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
The company’s auto finance and dealer services group offers automobile loans to consumers and commercial loans to automobile dealers within the firm’s six-state banking franchise area. Huntington also has private financial group offices in Florida and mortgage banking offices in Maryland and New Jersey.
Huntington provides international banking services through the headquarters office in Columbus and a limited purpose offices located in both the Cayman Islands and Hong Kong.
