Muskogee toddler ejected in SUV accident dies from critical injuries.
Tulsa, OK(JusticeNewsFlash.com)--A two-car motor vehicle collision (MVC) injured at least three people on Monday. The Tulsa World reports one of the injured victims, two year-old, Nakayla Buford, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, died on Tuesday from her critical injuries. Oklahoma highway accident investigators say an SUV, traveling westbound on Interstate 44, was attempting to make a U-turn at an opening in the median. A van heading eastbound, operated by 46 year-old Pamela Aipperspach of Missouri, struck the rear of the SUV. Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) officers state Nakayla was ejected from the SUV when the van struck the vehicle. Nakayla was transported to St. Francis Hospital by fire rescue crews where she died Tuesday morning.
Oklahoma police authorities indicate there were six other passengers in the SUV at the time of the fatal crash. Emergency medical services (EMS) personnel say two, five year-old boys sustained serious injuries. Oklahoma paramedics transported the two boys to St. Francis Hospital for treatment of their injuries by doctors and nurses. Latoya Foster, 23, a 7 month-old girl, and a 9 month-old girl, all from Tulsa, Oklahoma, were taken to a local hospital. The status of most of the motor vehicle crash occupants was unavailable. Brittney Buford, 22, of Muskogee, was recovering from her injuries. Aipperspach was reportedly uninjured.
