May 27, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Biorem Inc. (OTC: BIRMF) (TSX: BRM) said it has received two recent orders totaling $1.3 million for projects in the United States.

The company said that the systems under order will use biofiltration technology to treat odors at wastewater treatment plants to meet air pollution control requirements. Two biofilters at a Midwest location will treat emissions from headworks and biosolids sources. A larger biofilter in the West Coast will treat over 44,000 cfm of polluted air streams.

All three units will utilize Biorem’s inorganic Biosorbens media.

Canada-based Biorem manufactures biofilter media and is a supplier of biofilters for air pollution control in municipal and industrial applications.
