May 19, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAI) said it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to design, engineer and construct a cargo aircraft hangar at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. The award has a 21-month period of performance and a contract value of more than $20 million.

According to the company, the contract includes the architectural design, engineering and construction of a single story, multi-bay cargo aircraft hangar, including personnel offices and work spaces.

San Diego-based Science Applications International is a scientific, engineering, and technology applications firm whose roughly 45,000 employees serve customers in the U.S. Department of Defense, the intelligence community, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, other U.S. Government civil agencies and various commercial markets.

The company posted revenues of $10.1 billion for its fiscal year ended January 31.
