May 19, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Milk and dairy product firm Dean Foods Co. (NYSE: DF) has appointed Barbara Carlini to the position of senior vice president and chief information officer.

Carlini most recently served as the corporate VP of the mobile devices division at Motorola (NYSE: MOT). Prior to Motorola, Barbara was CIO of Diageo Americas and before that senior IT director at Nabisco.

As Dean’s CIO, Carlini will report to Greg McKelvey, EVP and chief strategy and transformation officer.

Dallas-based Dean Foods is a processor and distributor of milk and other dairy products in the U.S. The company sells milk and a range of other dairy products under more than 50 local and regional brands and a range of private labels.
