Saint James Company Expanding Into New Zealand Wines
May 14, 2009 (FinancialWire) — According to Saint James Company (OTCBB: STJC), New Zealand wine producer Waimea Estates has agreed to be acquired by Samson Acquisition Company.
In a statement Saint James said New Zealand wines “are growing rapidly in markets around the world,” and that Waimea Estates “is an excellent choice to be the hub for our portfolio of New Zealand wineries and vineyards.”
Santa Monica, California-based Saint James specializes in the acquisition and distribution of “New World” wines, and has recently signed agreements for the acquisition of wineries and wine brands in New Zealand and the rights to Olivia Newton John’s Koala Blue wine brand in North America, as well as a letter of intent to acquire a winery in Australia.
Saint James has signed an agreement to acquire Samson Acquisition Company.
