May 4, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. (NYSE: DO) has closed an offering of $500 of the company’s 5.875% senior unsecured notes due May 1, 2019. J.P. Morgan Securities (NYSE: JPM) and Goldman, Sachs (NYSE: GS) served as joint bookrunning managers.
The transaction resulted in net proceeds to Diamond Offshore of around $495.3 million.
Houston-based Diamond Offshore provides contract drilling services to the energy industry and is focused on deepwater drilling.
