Milford, Massachusetts (MMD Newswire) April 29, 2009 -- Avecia Biotechnology Inc., announces that Dr. Emma Wright has been appointed to the position of Director of Process Development for the OligoMedicines business of Avecia.

Dr. Wright will progress with her experienced team of 17 process development scientists Avecia's strong traditions of: Quality by Design, DoE, rigorous process development, optimization and scale up. Dr. Wright was a founding member of Avecia's process development group in Milford, and has held a variety of increasingly senior technical and management roles in the organization and brings a wealth of experience and expertise in process development, oligonucleotide chemistry and project management.
