Louisville’s arena construction project collapsed while workers poured concrete. Louisville, KY(JusticeNewsFlash.com)--Louisville Fire & Rescue responded to a 911 call on Monday when a floor collapsed at the arena project while construction workers poured concrete. As reported by the Louisville Courier-Journal, three construction workers suffered injuries at about 10:30 a.m. At the River Road downtown arena project. M.A. Mortenson Company, a construction management firm, stated the demolished floor was the arena’s main concourse. The three injured construction workers, employees of F.A. Wilhelm Construction, a concrete contractor form Indianapolis, were rescued and transported by emergency medical personnel to University Hospital. Louisville Fire & Rescue officials halted labor while the structure was inspected. Officials with Kentucky Labor Cabinet’s Occupational Safety and Health Program were also on the scene evaluating the construction accident.
