Collection of personal greetings touch the romantic in all of us

T' Us by Frank Granata inspires readers to make every day special through his selection of love letters written to his wife of 52 years

MERCED, Calif (MMD Newswire) April 27, 2009 -- In his new book, T' Us, author Frank Granata has complied a loving selection of poems and morning greetings written for Joan, his wife of 52 years, who lost her battle to pancreatic cancer in December 2005.

The book's 120 poems and 223 images were chosen from the more than 700 morning greetings Granata wrote on paper plates, affectionately called "platter chatter," while waiting for his wife to join him at breakfast. In his missives, Granata covered the day-to-day events as well as topics such as birthdays, anniversaries, their children, holidays and even the couple's favorite pastime, golfing.

"Written words of affection have a place in preparing any relationship where two complex personalities are to become one," Granata says. "I wrote these poems over the years as an expression of our love-filled marriage and what we meant to each other. It wasn't until my son Bob and his wife DeeDee were helping me get things together following our loss that the suggestion was made to publish the poems as a tribute to this true love story."
