MERCED, Calif (MMD Newswire) April 27, 2009 -- In his new book, T' Us, author Frank Granata has complied a loving selection of poems and morning greetings written for Joan, his wife of 52 years, who lost her battle to pancreatic cancer in December 2005.

The book's 120 poems and 223 images were chosen from the more than 700 morning greetings Granata wrote on paper plates, affectionately called "platter chatter," while waiting for his wife to join him at breakfast. In his missives, Granata covered the day-to-day events as well as topics such as birthdays, anniversaries, their children, holidays and even the couple's favorite pastime, golfing.

"I wrote these poems over the years as an expression of our love-filled marriage and what we meant to each other. Prior to writing T' Us, Niagara Falls, N.Y. native Frank Granata worked in private practice as a physical therapist. He retired in 1990, and in 2002, his wife, Joan, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. They were married for 52 years before what Joan referred to as her "final exit" in December 2005.
