Amkor Closes $100 Million Credit Revolver

financings_225_px-w_bwApril 17, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Amkor Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMKR) said it has entered into a new $100 million senior secured revolving credit facility. The new credit facility, which matures in April 2013, amends and restates Amkor’s prior $100 million facility that was scheduled to expire in November.

The company said that the facility provides it with a revolving line of credit for working capital, capital expenditures, repaying debt and other corporate purposes with loans being made subject to availability under a borrowing base of eligible accounts receivable.

It added that the revolving loans bear interest, at Amkor’s option, at the base rate plus 2.0% or LIBOR plus 3.5% before September 30, and thereafter at the base rate plus a spread of 2.0% to 2.5% or LIBOR plus 3.5% to 4.0%, depending on the average availability under the borrowing base.

Chandler, Arizona-based Amkor is a provider of semiconductor assembly and test services. The company offers semiconductor companies and electronics OEMs microelectronics design and manufacturing services.
