March 27, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- Toreador Resources Corp.'s (NASDAQ: TRGL) board has named Craig M. McKenzie as the company's president and chief executive officer. McKenzie has served as the company's interim president and CEO since January 23.

Before joining Toreador, McKenzie served as CEO and director of Canadian Superior Energy, a Canadian oil and gas exploration and production company with upstream operations in Canada, Trinidad & Tobago and Tunisia and Libya, from October 2007 until December 2008.

Prior to joining Canadian Superior Energy, McKenzie served as the president of the BG Trinidad & Tobago unit of BG Group plc, a gas exploration and production company, from May 2004 to September 2007. He also served as a member of the Atlantic LNG shareholders' board, from September 2004 to September 2007.
