Book Sequel Follows Mafia Sons as They Fight to Avenge Their Father's Death
SAN ANTONIO, TX (MMD Newswire) March 17, 2009 - In Vengeful Angels, author Greg Crane reprises the roles of his characters in his first novel, Tainted Angels, and shares the story of three brothers seeking retribution for the death of their father.
In Vengeful Angels, readers learn that Mario Paterlini, the patriarch of the Paterlini family, has been killed. Mario's sons meet to plan their revenge; meanwhile, the New York Mafia bosses convene to arrange hits on the Paterlini brothers, who now hold a desirable narcotics territory in New York that belonged to their father. The Paterlini brothers attempt to exact vengeance on the person they believe to be responsible for their father's death. However, their plan goes awry, and they discover they have become targets. With no time to spare, the brothers must track down and kill their enemies before the hired guns kill them.
Crane hopes his book will help to highlight the illegal trade of narcotics by what appears to be legitimate businesses run by honest businessmen. He also hopes to expose the methods employed by those businessmen when dealing with threats, adverse situations and adversaries.
Intrigued by the prevalence of organized crime in everyday society, Crane felt inspired to raise people's awareness. "I wanted to bring a consciousness to people that crime families can appear to be ordinary citizens, maybe even your neighbor," he says.
