As a teen growing up in Hawaii, author Griep was exposed to the drug scene of the 1970s and remembers the pain she experienced when she witnessed family members succumb to the perils of drug use. Because of her experiences, Griep seeks to offer thoughtful words of wisdom to those who are battling with similar problems in the hopes of influencing their way of thinking.
