B’klyn, NY -- December 31, 2008 - Divine Performing Arts (DPA), the world’s renown Chinese dance and music Company, celebrates the New Year -- the Year of the Ox -- with the premier of the fantasial “Splendor”at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, January 3-4, 2009.
 
Weaving a wondrous story of heavenly realm, enchanting dreams, and the classical struggle between good and evil, the show’s rich language of movement and breathtaking pageantry evoke the themes of virtue, compassion, and courage at the heart of China’s divinely-inspired culture – from ancient Buddhist and Taoist traditions to modern-day spiritual practices such as Falun Dafa.  

DPA’s superb classical choreography articulates a wide spectrum of emotions to express the depth of China ’s five thousand year legacy of divinely-inspired culture.  Through the dancers’ superb technique, a wonderful range of themes and rich, exciting characters is awesomelyl displayed.
