(MMD Newswire) February 18, 2009 -- Adam Bertrand is set to become the esteemed face of fashion label Escada. The label's head designer, Damiano Biella, has asked him to pose for the Spring/Summer 2009-10 collection.

The MTV star will follow in the footsteps of several other well known Hollywood celebrities, who have also represented the company. A source tells American magazine Us Weekly, "He just got asked to be in the ads. He's going to say yes."

Bertrand is a long-time fan of the company and is "extremely excited" according to the source. The move has raised fashionista eyebrows, as some insiders believe the 17-year-old isn't sophisticated enough to represent the prestigious fashion house. Biella has stated that he wants his next ad campaign to be young and "edgy."
