Former Marines' invention is helping save women worldwide

Jacksonville, FL (MMD Newswire) February 20, 2009 -- Domonique Torrence has raised a few eyebrows with his superhero inspired safety device, The Scytodes; even Spiderman of Marvel Comics took notice. The Scytodes is a personal security device that slips over the hand and straps to your wrist leaving your hands free to open doors, carry grocery bags, jog, and even drive a car. At a moment's notice you are able to spray the attacker without fumbling for it on your keychain or at the bottom of your purse. Sales of this novel product began November 2008.

With the great success of this endeavor Torrence believed that he and his company could do more for women and began brainstorming ideas that could support women's wellness. The team at Torrence Enterprises considered many options, but decided to support those organizations dedicated to the support and treatment of women diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

There is a personal connection with the team (the team has their own breast cancer survivor), as well as a strong belief in the commitment of the organizations to the cure. Torrence will be donating 20% of proceeds to three organizations dedicated to the aforementioned efforts.

Locally, The Donna Foundation and The Rita Foundation have been selected as benefactors. The national organization has yet to be selected. Through our research this will be the largest percentage of sales ever donated to the support of individuals diagnosed with Breast Cancer and the research to promote the cure.

At Torrence Enterprises we are taking the fight to the street.
