Ricci, who has served as the company's chief operating officer since January of 2008, succeeds Stephen Jones, who is stepping down but will continue as a member of the firm's board.

Prior to joining Jones Soda, Ricci served as general manager of Portland, Oregon-based Columbia Distributing. During his time with Columbia Distributing, he also held the position of VP of human resources and process improvement, as well as regional VP of sales and marketing.

Before joining Columbia Distributing Ricci spent more than nine years with McNeil Consumer Healthcare / Johnson & Johnson in various sales and marketing management roles.

Seattle-based Jones Soda markets and distributes beverages under the Jones Soda, Jones Pure Cane Soda, Jones 24C, Jones GABA, Jones Organics, Jones Naturals and Whoopass brands.

The company sells its products through a distribution network in markets primarily across North America.
