Raytheon Awarded $11 Million Under Patriot Missile Contract

March 5, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- Raytheon Co. (NYSE: RTN) has been awarded $11.4 million to support Patriot missile facilities during 2009.

The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama issued the additional funding as an option under a three-year contract previously awarded to Raytheon in January 2008. The add-on award brings the value of the contract to $35.5 million with potential for additional options through 2010.

Under the contract, Raytheon will provide support including technical assistance, reliability testing and data analysis of deployed systems.

Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems unit is the prime contractor for both domestic and international Patriot Air and Missile Defense Systems and systems integrator for Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missiles.
