Global Electronic Technology, Inc. Announces International Children's Charity Program: Never Forgotten Foundation
(NFF): Non-Profit Children's Charity for orphaned children of war and poverty.
CYPRESS, CA - July 25, 2008 - Global Electronic Technology, Inc.(GET), a a leading technology provider of payment processing solutions, today announced an international charity program whose beneficiaries are orphaned children of war and poverty, The Never Forgotten Foundation (http://www.neverforgottenfoundation.com , and http://www.neverforgottenfoundation.org ).
“The reach of this new charity will be world wide. Unlike most non-profit organizations who contribute only 8- 10% of all funds donated, we will use 100 cents on every dollar for this fund. We plan to pay for the administration of this charity ourselves. We are basically working for free,” states GET's Chief Executive Officer and the Charity's founder, Steven H. Bryson.
“This Charity is in its infancy,” said Steve Bryson. “I have no doubt of its success; there has never been a project that I have started that has not been successful. We are also looking for any other organizations that are willing to donate to this cause. We also plan on hosting some fund raising dinners as well. We're hoping to get useful items such as essential household goods, planes, and building materials for new orphanages.”
“We want to educate and teach sustainability after the basic needs are met,” Explains Bryson. “It's the “teach to fish versus give a fish” approach. We have given a great deal in the past to many people and many causes. We normally keep it quiet and close to our hearts, but this will be different. We decided to come out and announce this as we are looking to inspire other organizations and individuals.”
“This Charity was inspired by my own experiences growing up in poverty in Tennessee. My son was another.” admits Bryson.
Steven H. Bryson's son, Scott, now state side, was a point man for the 82nd Airborne Special Forces Unit on several missions in Iraq over 15 months. He is currently pending a medical discharge for multiple concussions from multiple IEDs (Improvised Explosive Device).
“He just recently started telling me of some of the things that he was awarded metals for. He refused to talk about anything he did for the 15 months he spent in Samara, Iraq. Crazy things that would probably have me fly out there if I knew. He was always on point. I asked him if that was a procedure. He said it was by preference. Still, my son stuck to a “capture not kill” strategy for the enemy,” says Bryson.
“Both my son and daughter are going to be a part of this as well as GET. My daughter is investigating the children's situation in Ethiopia and of course, Darfur. They are all running from the Janjaweed. I might go just to check it out. It's also about honor; the soldiers' honor. We are doing this for the children left orphaned and homeless by the war. I couldn't sleep at night without doing something. Now I am finally able to,” Bryson said with a smile of satisfaction.
