Governor of Vermont, Jim Douglas, to Help Launch New Service of St. Johnsbury Company

St. Johnsbury, VT - June 27, 2008 - A company celebrating its new location in St. Johnsbury is marking the occasion by launching a new product with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to be attended by Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas.

Cambron Credentials Inc., which is in the business of verifying the credentials of medical providers for nursing homes, medical practices and small hospitals, is set to offer a new employee-screening program (ESP) that helps participating health-care organizations with the ongoing monitoring of licensed employees required by Medicare and Medicaid. The product launch will be celebrated at a ceremony at noon on July 8, 2008, when Gov. Douglas will cut the ribbon at Cambron's office. The public is welcome to attend the product-launching ceremony.

The new program will notify a client of any adverse action against any of its licensed employees. For example, if an employee of a small hospital in Vermont also has a license in New Hampshire and some action was taken in New Hampshire against the employee, Cambron's data-collecting processes could pick it up before the New Hampshire board notified its Vermont counterpart.

"Licensing boards don't always talk to each other," said Cambron President and CEO Sarah Emery. Businesses that employ unlicensed or sanctioned employees and bill either Medicare or Medicaid run the risk of an audit by the Office of the Inspector General. Behind every claim reimbursement is a patient, and the OIG has vowed to increase their scrutiny of providers of care. Healthcare providers found with poor screening programs will be sanctioned by the Office of the Inspector General.

Cambron's basic business is to verify the credentials of employees for health care organizations. Cambron also assists clients in developing policies, procedures and software. Cambron's concierge service for private practice helps medical practices complete the voluminous paperwork to qualify as providers for various health-care plans. Cambron has more than 260 clients in 25 states from Hawaii to Massachusetts.

Sarah Emery started her business in Florida in 2001. A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Ms Emery earned her BA in Modern British and American Literature. The business was relocated to the historic business district of St Johnsbury in 2006. "The opportunity to come to St Johnsbury was one that we just could not pass up," said Ms. Emery. Emery is also a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) as deemed by the National Association of Medical Staff Services. Cambron Credentials, Inc. is a wholly woman owned business. "The majority of my employees are working mothers who are returning to work," said Ms. Emery." We allow a flexible work day and in return garner the services of some very bright employees." Cambron is one of increasing numbers of nimble companies that can operate anywhere with telephones, fax and high-speed Internet.

Cambron's office is at 161 Western Avenue, Suite 201, in one of the historic buildings restored by James Impey.
