Midwest BioResearch Hires Former FDA Investigator James Plucinski to Guide Client Quality Assurance
SKOKIE, Ill.--Midwest BioResearch LLC (MBR), a contract research organization focused on drug disposition and toxicology, announced the addition of James Plucinski as its new Quality Assurance Manager. Plucinski, a former investigator with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), will manage MBR's quality assurance program.
Plucinski brings seven years of quality assurance experience to MBR, including more than three years as an investigator with the FDA. Jim has experience working in both GMP and GLP environments, as well as conducting GMP and GLP audits of both pharmaceutical and medical device firms, and GCP audits of clinical investigators. Prior to MBR, Plucinski worked as a Senior Quality Auditor for Baxter Healthcare Corporation where he conducted audits and assessments, internally and externally, using his FDA training in a corporate setting.
"As a former FDA investigator with advanced pharmaceutical regulatory experience, Jim's fulltime commitment to MBR will be an invaluable resource for our clients in assuring quality and compliance with all applicable regulatory guidelines," said Michael Schlosser, president of Midwest BioResearch. "Jim's perspective gained through the FDA and pharmaceutical industry will help further strengthen our services and support to our clients."
The addition of Plucinski adds to MBR's highly qualified staff. The company sees this as another step forward to provide its clients with the assets necessary to move projects through the highly regulated drug development process.
Plucinski, an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's degree in analytical chemistry, both from Governors State University (Illinois).
