Disaster Management Training Comes to Bahrain

Fires, floods, accidents, sabotage - disasters can strike anytime, anywhere.

Every business, every government ministry, every organization needs an effective Business Continuity Plan to ensure vital business processes continue - no matter what happens.

For the very first time in Bahrain, a major international training program will be presented February 10-13 to teach GCC companies a certified methodology for developing Business Continuity Plans.

"This course is designed for companies which either have no Business Continuity Plan in place, or have one limited to their IT systems," notes Mr. Michael Bittle, Managing Director of the Institute for Business Continuity Training which is hosting this workshop. "It is an exceptional and comprehensive course which should be taken by senior management, auditors, IT specialists and virtually everyone involved with business survival."

Invitations have gone out to all major corporations and business associations in the Gulf Region to send representatives on the course.

Entitled "Effective Business Continuity Planning", this workshop will cover the complete Business Continuity Management lifecycle from project inception through to implementation and management. This includes sessions on Threat and Risk Assessment and Business Impact Analysis, utilizing an "all hazards" approach applicable to every size of company.

Two internationally-recognized experts will lead this intensive 4-day training course. In addition to Mr. Bittle, who holds both the CBRM and CCM certifications in business continuity planning with over 10 years experience in disaster planning and emergency management, the course will also be lead by Mr. Robert Swift, CPCU, CIPA, CBCP who is a business interruption and contingency planning specialist with over thirty years experience in the financial services industry.
