Teliasonera International Carrier: Teliasonera Launch Uncompressed 4K SDI Video at IBC
STOCKHOLM, Sweden--At the annual international broadcasters' convention, IBC 2007, in Amsterdam, TeliaSonera International Carrier (STO:TLSN)(HEX:TLS1V)(LSE:TEE)(Nasdaq:TLSN) team up with Net Insight and Astro Design to demonstrate the benefits of a solution to broadcast uncompressed 4K SDI video over a switched optical network solution over 1300 km.
In TeliaSonera extensive media networks in Europe, based on its own existing fibre infrastructure, a demo network consisting of Net Insight's high-capacity Nibra switches and Astro Design's super high resolution 4K2K LCD displays will be launched during IBC.
On site in Amsterdam, visitors will be able to experience the extraordinary picture quality of 4K video displayed on super-high resolution displays. The video source is placed in Stockholm and the feed is transported over TeliaSonera media network, using Nibra 680 high capacity switches.
