Trading in Kaufman & Broad Shares Resumes Updated 2006 Registration Document Released

Kaufman & Broad (Paris:KOF) S.A. announced today that the French securities regulator Autorit des Marchs Financiers (AMF) has authorised the resumption of trading in the company's shares as of August 6.
Trading has been suspended since last July 10, after Financire Gaillon 8 SAS, a company controlled by funds managed by PAI partners, acquired a 50.28% interest in Kaufman & Broad S.A. for 50.17 per share and announced that, in compliance with legislation, it planned to file a public offer (offer publique d'achat simplifie) to purchase all outstanding Kaufman & Broad S.A. shares at the same price of 50.17 per share.
The terms of the offer are described in an Information Document (Note d'Information) and a Response Document (Note en Rponse) registered with the AMF on August 1, 2007.
In addition, the updated 2006 reference document comprising the interim financial report and information on the transaction has been posted on August 1 on the www.amf-france.org and www.ketb.com websites. It can also be found at the company's headquarters.
