Park Cattle Company Names President and CEO
MINDEN, Nev. -- Park Cattle Company, a diversified real estate company with holdings in the Carson Valley and Stateline, Nevada, including Edgewood Golf Course, Edgewood Water Company and the Park Ranch, announced today that Brad Nelson has been named President and CEO, effective January 2, 2007.
Nelson will be based at the Park Cattle Company corporate office in Minden and responsible for implementing the strategic plan that includes master plans for its holdings in the Carson Valley and Stateline. He will also oversee all regional communications, marketing and public relations plans that address future opportunities associated with asset development, acquisition and diversification.
"Brad's diverse experience with family-owned companies made him an ideal fit with Park Cattle Company," said Craig Sullivan, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Park Cattle Company. "We are excited to have a new leader of such high caliber join our team."
Nelson said, "I was intrigued and inspired by the Board's vision and the opportunity to be a part of such a dynamic organization. My wife Pat and I look forward to making the Carson Valley our home and helping Park Cattle Company realize its many goals."
A graduate of Iowa State University, with a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture and a master's degree in urban planning from the University of Arizona, Nelson has been instrumental in the residential and commercial development of Lake Las Vegas, Green Valley, Green Valley Ranch and Seven Hills in southern Nevada.
In addition to his development experience, Nelson has served on the Board of Directors of the Henderson Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors of the Henderson Boys & Girls Club, the Bond Oversight Committee of the Clark County School District and as Chairman of the Fundraising Committee of the Las Vegas Boys Scouts of America. He has also served as the Chairman of the ULI Las Vegas District of the Urban Land Institute, the Program Vice-chairman of the Recreation Development Council, Red Flight, and is a Life Director of Southern Nevada Home Builders.
