We know that the current situation in the world can be scary. CFSA would like to ensure you have the most current information as the situation progresses here in DC. Effective yesterday, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser declared both a state of emergency and a public health emergency, in response to the recently reported cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

These declarations simply give the Mayor more freedom to spend money and make policy decisions. We are continuing our work to address concerns you may have around safety as it relates to recent outbreaks of the coronavirus.

I have attached at Mayor’s press release and declarations of emergency. As we receive updated COVID-19 related information or guidance from District leadership, updates will be shared. Updated information on precautionary measures can be found at https://coronavirus.dc.gov/.
