Fortuna announces resumption of production at the Caylloma Mine, Peru

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 28, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fortuna Silver Mines, Inc. (NYSE: FSM) (TSX: FVI) is pleased to report that production activities resumed at the Caylloma Mine located in the Province of Arequipa, Peru. 

On July 6, 2020, the Company decided to voluntarily suspend operations for a period of approximately two weeks at the Caylloma Mine. During this time, the Company has among other things, sanitized and disinfected the mine site (refer to Fortuna news release dated July 6, 2020). The Company has in place and is operating under detailed and stringent health and safety protocols to safeguard the health and safety of our personnel and the local communities where we operate (refer to Fortuna news release dated April 27, 2020).

Mining and ore processing operations officially resumed at the Caylloma Mine on July 27, 2020 at nameplate capacity of 1,430 tonnes per day.
