Opinion Report on 2019 State Budget approved

ANGOLA, May 16 - Luanda -The Government approved Thursday the Opinion Report on revised 2019 State General Budget (OGE) that foresees a 8.40 percent reduction of the initial value, Angop has learnt.,

Commissions for Economy and Finance, Constitutional and Legal Affairs as well as the State Administration and Local Power of the National Assembly approved the document with 23 votes in favour, non against and seven abstentions.

The session was presided over by chairperson of the 5th Commission for Economy and Finance of National Assembly, Ruth Mendes.

The revenues of the proposed revision stands at Akz 10.4 billion.

The 2019 State Budget worth Akz 11.2 billion, still in force, and approved last December, was drawn up on the basis of an overage price per barrel of  USD 68.

Still on Thursday, the XIV meeting of staff of computer-related occupation from Portuguese Speaking Parliaments closed in Luanda.

The chairman of the Commission on Health, Education, Higher Education, Science and Technology, Victor Chicua Kajibanga, stressed the role of the meeting, saying that the move can contribute to greater rapprochement between MPs and voters.

He stressed the importance of increasing the investments in technology to improve the performance of legislators and streamlining services.  

The meeting started Monday and reflected on the state of information and communication technologies.

 

The event gathered delegates from the parliaments of Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe and East Timor.
