Law on oil activities unanimously approved
Luanda, ANGOLA, March 20 - The National Assembly unanimously approved last Tuesday the general content of the bills that amend the Oil Activities Procedures, its taxation process and in the Civil Aviation sector.,
The current oil development strategy amended substantially the assumptions that sustain the management of the oil resources in the country, whether by the Angolan State or by the exploitation and oil production investor firms.
In line with the amendments made, the National Assembly approved a new organization model for the oil sector, through the creation of the National Petroleum and Gas Agency to take up the role of a concessionary in substitution of the State-owned Sonangol firm.
The documents were approved at the fifth plenary ordinary session of the National Assembly (Angolan Parliament), which was chaired by the Speaker of the House, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.
