US Assistant State Secretary arrives in Angola

Luanda, ANGOLA, March 17 - The US Assistant Secretary of State John J. Sullivan arrived in Angola on Saturday (16) for a two-day visit to strengthen bilateral cooperation on security and public order. ,

On his arrival, the Assistant Secretary of State was received at the International Airport 4 February by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Téte António, representing the minister, Manuel Augusto, and senior officials of the US embassy in Angola.

 

According to the visit program, on Monday (18), the high-ranking US diplomat will be welcomed by Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto before co-chairing the Strategic Partnership Dialogue, attended by nine more members of the Angolan Government, led by Foreign Minister Manuel Augusto.

After the meeting, scheduled for 11:00 there will be signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the new area in which the two States intend to cooperate, followed by a press statement session.
