Luanda, ANGOLA, March 6 - Angolan and Portuguese authorities signed on Wednesday in Luanda 11 new cooperation protocols, in a ceremony witnessed by the presidents João Lourenço and Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa. ,

The protocols are those of the Local Administration, Security and Internal Order, Declaration of intent on the Safety Convention, memoranda in the areas of Social Security, Education, Maritime and Port Activities, Simplification and Modernisation as well as an agreement on the Remunerated Activities of family members of diplomatic and consular staff.

 

Also signed were  Memorandum on the Training and Training of Technical and Diplomatic Officials, a Protocol of Collaboration between the Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation (Portugal) and the Institute for Support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (Angola), as well as The State Administration of Assets and Participation (IGAPE), and Parapublic, Participações Publicas (SGPS.SA) (Portugal).  

 

With these understandings, Angola and Portugal total 35 protocols of cooperation signed in the last seven months. The two countries maintain relations in the political, diplomatic, economic, commercial and cultural fields.

The President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, who arrived in Luanda on Tuesday (05), began an official visit to Angola.

 

The visiting agenda of the Portuguese president also covers the cities of Lubango (Huila province), Benguela, Catumbela and Lobito (Benguela province).
