Armed Forces Chief calls for thrifty resource management

Saurimo, ANGOLA, March 1 - The Chief of General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), Egídio de Sousa Santos "Disciplina", Friday recommended to the military commanders a strict and parsimonious management of the available material, logistical and financial resources.,

The high ranking of the FAA made this recommendation during the opening of the 2019/2020 preparatory, combative and patriotic training year in Saurimo, eastern Lunda Sul province, stressing that military leaders should adopt a new management methodology for the assets under their responsibility, allowing that this occupy the first trench in the moralization of society.

The four star General explained that the present year of instruction is part of the complex socio-economic situation in which the country faces, implying great challenges that require intelligent, audacious and dynamic responses, where all military personnel are once again called to raise their sense of patriotic duty.

To this end, special attention should be given to deepening the chain of knowledge in the field of operational techniques through continuous specialized training of personnel, while continuing to prepare for peace-keeping missions in the framework of international commitments.

The General considered it essential to improve the multilateral assurance of the troops, exploiting to the maximum the possibilities of acquiring the nationally produced goods at the unit level.

The top general has added the constant improvement of this process at all levels of the FAA, should remain the first concern of commanders, chiefs and officers, by increasing the levels of demand and control of staff commitment.
